NYC Fundraiser Event - Thursday October 19, 2023

The Night Stalker Foundation will be hosting a fundraiser event in the One World Observatory in New York City Thursday October 19, 2023.

All proceeds from the event will go to supporting the Nightstalker Foundation's goal of giving back to the families of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment through education and emergency support.

FAMILY COLLABORATIVE

Couples Retreat
On January 21st and 22nd the Night Stalker Foundation held a couples retreat in Nashville, Tennessee for the 160th soldiers & spouses stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Fifteen couples were able to unplug, relax, and connect with one another. They learned skills and strategies to better navigate the Special Operation lifestyle, which demands a lot of families. As with all the events and opportunities we can graciously provide Night Stalker families, our intent is to always leave them with an increased ability to thrive. It is truly an honor to serve and be a part of something that will have positive effects lasting well beyond the weekend.

Women's Virtual Networking Workshop
Night Stalker Foundation’s SOAR Family Collaborative kicked off its first monthly Women’s Virtual Networking Workshop in January. This series of online workshops was created to support the lady Night Stalker (female soldiers and spouses) and equip them to thrive wherever their focus may be. Classes range from business to nutrition, marketing, parenting, self-care, and everywhere in between. We are excited and thankful to provide these resources and education opportunities to those who sacrifice a lot and are so deserving of it!

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS

We are proud to announce we have opened the applications to the Night Stalker Foundation Scholarship Program.

Three years ago the Night Stalker Foundation started naming Scholarships in memory of the fallen, and this year we are proud to be able to continue awarding scholarships to qualified individuals in the Night Stalker community for financial assistance in their pursuit of higher education.

The deadline for applications is March 17, 2023. For more information and the instructions to apply click here.

NEW FACES IN THE FOUNDATION

Please join us in welcoming three new board members: Greg Chambers, Peter Rogal, and Bob Witzler. And our new Office Manager, Tina Englen. We are excited to have all of them on the team.

Please welcome Bob Witzler who has joined the Night Stalker Foundation board. Bob served in the U.S. Army for over a 32- year military career spanning positions from Infantryman to Special Operations Aviator. During his 28 year tenure in Army Aviation, 24 of which were spent in Special Operations Aviation, he participated in combat operations in Panama, Somalia, Iraq and Afghanistan. Bob served in a wide variety of standardization and staff positions from the flight company to Brigade level, and ultimately as the senior warrant officer advisor to the Commanding General, U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command.

After his retirement from the Army in 2014, Bob moved to Florida with his wife Yvonne, very near her childhood home. From this new home-base location he began a second career with L3 Technologies, Arlington Texas. His responsibilities as a Business Development Manager within the Link Training & Simulation division included Army and Special Operations customers with focus on Rotary Wing Aviation. Bob’s time in this role included the L3 merger with Harris Corporation and the acquisition of the L3Harris Military Training business sector by CAE USA, Inc. in 2020.
