Night Stalker Foundation Announces 2024 Scholarship Program to Honor Fallen Heroes

The Night Stalker Foundation (NSF) is delighted to announce the continuation of its impactful scholarship program for the year 2024. Designed to provide financial assistance to deserving applicants pursuing higher education, this initiative reflects the NSF's commitment to supporting the educational aspirations of individuals without regard to various factors. As a non-profit organization with tax-exempt status under IRS 501(c)(3), the NSF stands firm in its dedication to fostering inclusivity and equal opportunities for all.

A distinctive feature of the Night Stalker scholarship program is its poignant tribute to fallen heroes. Initiated in 2018, this tradition involves naming scholarships in honor of those who made the ultimate sacrifice while in service with the Regiment. In collaboration with the Families of the Fallen, names are randomly selected, ensuring a meaningful and perpetual commemoration. This year, 52 scholarships will be named, marking a significant step towards the Foundation's goal of honoring all fallen Night Stalkers with scholarships for perpetuity. Recipients of these scholarships will be recognized during the Families of the Fallen annual dinner, creating a lasting legacy.

Applicants are urged to thoroughly read and follow all instructions provided in the application process. Notable changes from previous years include the mandatory submission of a digital photo and brief biography. Additionally, it is essential to note that the NSF scholarship is a last-payer scholarship, with any surplus funds returned to the NSF after other scholarships are applied.

Paper applications are no longer accepted; all documents, including the application, transcripts, ACT/SAT scores, photo, and biography, must be sent in a SINGLE DOCUMENT PDF format. A one-page essay is required, and eligibility is limited to current active-duty Night Stalkers or those who have previously served in this capacity. Category III scholarships are exclusive to active duty enlisted soldiers currently assigned to the unit. The deadline for submitting applications is January 15, 2024, and it is imperative to note that any applications or documentation received after this date will not be accepted.

Upon receiving the application, the NSF ensures prompt acknowledgment within three working days. Applicants are advised to follow up if no response is received within 72 hours. Incomplete applications will be returned for completion. It's crucial to provide explanations for missing information.

Eligibility is reserved for active-duty Night Stalkers or those with prior service. The NSF Scholarship Committee will prioritize undergraduate study scholarships this year, with consideration of graduate applications on a year-to-year basis.

The Night Stalker Foundation extends heartfelt congratulations to all pursuing higher education and participating in the 2024 scholarship program. Through honoring fallen heroes and empowering future leaders, the NSF remains dedicated to its mission.

Best of luck to all applicants in their future endeavors and may the Night Stalker scholarship program continue to illuminate the path toward educational excellence for years to come.
